Innography today released its Mid-Year 2016 Patent Market Tracker® (PMT), revealing a 44 percent drop in U.S. patent transfers from January 1 through June 30, compared to the prior six-month period. While the Electronics and Computer Hardware sectors declined, Medical and Chemistry & Physics sector growth accelerated, with overall transfers continuing to outpace the first half of 2015 by six percent.

Innography today released its Spring 2016 Patent Market Tracker featuring year over year patent data for the second half of 2015. The data shows U.S. patent transfers increased more than 70 percent over the same period in 2014, led by the electronics and computer software sectors, and largely dominated by two major divestment transactions.
