Innography President Tyron Stading Recognized as a World Leading IP Strategist
Tyron Stading, president and founder of Innography, the innovative software provider of better intellectual property answers for improved business results, has been named a world leading IP strategist in 2014’s IAM Strategy 300. Compiled annually by Intellectual Asset Management, the IAM Strategy 300 lists the top IP strategists that leverage in-depth research and expertise working closely with IP owners to maximize the value of their patents, copyrights, trademarks and other rights.
“An innovative and insightful thought-leader, Tyron has created entirely new ways of analyzing patent portfolios and deriving Intellectual Property Business Intelligence,” said John F. Martin, CEO and chairman, Innography. “Being selected for the IAM Strategy 300 is no surprise to our team and our clients who have seen Tyron help shape the industry and the state of the art.”
Stading founded Innography in 2006 with a vision of redefining the intelligence and patent analytics landscape. As president and founder, he believes IP insights matter, and he has made it his mission to make those insights easier and more integrated into business processes. Prior to Innography, Stading was an IBM worldwide industry solutions manager, and worked at startups focused on mobile communications and network security. He has published multiple research papers and filed over 50 patents. Stading has a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Stanford University and a master’s degree in technology commercialization from The University of Texas at Austin.
“The IAM Strategy 300 recognizes the achievements of a very select group of men and women whose advice has consistently helped companies across the world to generate significant extra value from their IP,” says IAM editor Joff Wild. “Developments over recent years have shown the strategic importance of IP to businesses, so locating individuals who understand IP value and how to create it has never been more important.”
IAM researchers located throughout the world spoke to a wide range of senior corporate IP managers, as well as third-party IP service providers, in order to identify these IP leaders: men and women whose business is the creation, development and deployment of strategies that enable IP owners to gain maximum value from their portfolios. Only individuals nominated multiple times by different parties as outstanding IP strategists are listed in the IAM Strategy 300.
